Terms & Conditions
A legal disclaimer

We welcome you and your dog to be groomed and cared for at Furchanted following terms and conditions. Please read our terms and conditions fully prior to your appointment.

Late Arrivals:
Clients are expected to arrive on time for their appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule or cancel the appointment to avoid delays for other clients. If we have not received any communication from you after 15 minutes of your appointment time, you may be charged a No-Show fee.

Cancellations:
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance in order to be able to fill the space. Failure to do so will result with a 50% cancellation fee. Repeat cancellations or no-shows may result in being unable to book future appointments or upfront payments being charged.

Pricing/Condition:
All prices are subject to change and will vary based on the dog’s breed, size, coat condition, and behaviour. If your dog arrives to us matted, under the animal welfare act we will accept no pain or suffering and will not attempt to de-matte a mattered dog. Matting can be painful and uncomfortable for your dog. We will provide photo or video evidence and inform you by text. In cases of severe matting, we may need to perform a shave-down to ensure the dog’s comfort and safety which is our highest priority. If you cannot respond and therefore miss your appointment you will be charged a 50% missed appointment fee.

Health and Safety:
Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations and flea/tick treatments. Disclosure of any medical conditions or allergies should be discussed. Dogs that enter the salon with fleas must have a flea bath which therefore could be an extra charge on top of groom. If your dog is riddled with fleas, you will be asked to come and collect your dog and your groom will be cancelled and rearranged when they have had full treatment. If you know your dog has fleas, please inform us prior to your appointment so we can schedule a suitable appointment.

Emergency Vet Care.
In the event your dog needs emergency vet care, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you immediately. If we are unable to reach you, we are authorised to get veterinary treatment for your dog at our nearest vets available. All veterinary costs including consultation, treatment and medication remain the full responsibility of the owner. We will take reasonable care but cannot be held responsible for pre-existing conditions or injuries.
Behaviour:
Owners must make us aware for the safety off staff prior to booking the appointment if there are any behaviour issues. If this does occur, we have a right to refuse service if this poses a risk to either dog or groomer.
Social Media and Marketing:
We may take photographs of pets for social media, or promotional/marketing use. If you do not wish for your pet’s photo to be used, please inform us.
